The vet trots up, accompanied by her slightly embarassed looking companion. The companion is apparently a young assistant that is very unsure of herself. Dana, the vet, smiles brightly at Bekki.

"Nice horse you have here," she smiles, beginning routine check-ups, "Looks like he'll be good a dressage," Dana continues, now at the point where she performs the flexons on his legs. After that is finished, she rubs the short Thoroughbred's side.

"He has very nice, strong legs, and his temperature is normal. I don't think it's necessary to do x-rays just yet. After Dark is slightly underweight, but other than that, his body is in general good condition," rubbing his cute nose, Dana hands a bag full of various equine supplements to Bekki, "This should be good. Keep everything, even if you don't need it."

The assistant is examining After Dark's hooves, which already have shoes on them. He glances up, and sees the two girls looking at him.

"Oh, um, my name's Mike," he directs that sentence towards Bekki, and the next, "Your horse has good feet. His shoes are good for the next four weeks, but then come back."
