Hey there everyone! Sadira here. i hope everyone is doing well. I just thought I'd try a story out on everyone. Let me know what you think of it!

“A Christmas Gift for Molly” Part 1

Megan smiled as she watched her two younger sisters, Julie, who was eleven and Molly, who was just eight years old, working on a batch of Christmas cookies with her, Megan’s help. Megan enjoyed this time of year and she especially liked seeing her two younger sisters happy and having fun. She had made a mental note to teach them how to make Christmas cookies the way Aunt Abby had taught her and now she was getting her chance.
After the cookies were put in the oven, Megan gave Julie and Molly each a pat on their shoulder and suggested, “Why don’t you two start working on your Christmas lists.”
Julie nodded and went to do so. As she left the room, Molly stayed where she was. She was frowning and looking out the window at the newly fallen snow that had covered the ground over night.
“Molly, why aren’t you working on your Christmas list? Is something wrong, my little sunshine?” Megan asked, using her special name for Molly.
Molly snapped out of her trance and gazed up at Megan. She shook her head and her shoulders slumped.
“What’s the use?” Molly asked, not really wanting Megan to answer the question.
“What do you mean?” Megan asked, sitting down in a chair and motioning for Molly to sit with her. “I think we need to have some cuddle time. Come here, my little sunshine. Come to Megan.”
“Where I belong,” Molly said, walking over and crawling into Megan’s lap.
“That’s right, Moll. Safe and sound in my arms. Now, what’s this all about, hmmm?”
Molly sighed.
“Courtney Anderson told Lexi and me that Santa Claus isnt’ real.”
“It’s Lexi and I,” Megan corrected her baby sister.
“That’s what I said.” Molly replied.
Megan could tell Molly was truly upset, so she let the grammar mistake slide.
“Megan?” Molly asked.
“Yes?” Megan asked, looking down at Molly lovingly.
“Is Courtney Anderson telling the truth?”
Megan was silent. She didn’t kno what to say. She didn’t want to destroy Molly’s innocenmce, but she didn’t want to lie to her either.
“Megan?” Molly asked.
“It’s up to you,” Megan replied, coming out of her silent state. “If you want to believe in Santa, then he is real.”
“Do you believe in him?”
“I believe that Christmas is a very special time of year. A time when wonderful things can happen. Even things we’ve never even dreamed of. Things that we thought were impposible.”
“You mean like miracles?” Molly asked, her hazel eyes full of hope.
Megan nodded.
“Yup. Exactly.”
“That means Santa can do anything?”
“If you believe he can,” Megan replied.
Molly nodded. She then gave Megan a kiss and jumped off her lap.
“Thanks, Megan!”
“You’re welcome, my little sunshine. Wait! Where are you going?”
“To write my Christmas list,” Molly replied. With that, she was gone.
Megan shrugged and got up to check on the cookies. She was glad that she was able to help Molly out. She knew what it was like to believe in Santa Claus and even though she, Megan, was slowly growing out of the stage, she didn’t want to destroy Molly’s belief.
After Megan checked on the cookies, she went to see what her little sisters were up to. She went into Julie’s room first and found her little one reading a book.
“Hey there, little one,” Megan said, using her special name for Julie. “What are you doing?”
“Just reading,” Julie replied, shrugging.
Megan nodded.
“Did you finish your Christmas list?” Megan asked, sitting down and taking Julie into her lap.
Julie nodded.
“Yup.” She handed it to Megan.
As Megan skimmed it, she laughed softly. Julie never changed. Most of the stuff she wrote down were books. Julie loved to read.
“Did Molly finish hers?” Julie asked.
Megan shrugged.
“I’m not sure.” She frowned and then added, “Did Moll tell you anything about Courtney Anderson telling her that Santa didn’t exist?”
Julie frowned and nodded.
“Uh-huh. Charlotte and I tried to tell her he did, but Molly was too upset to hear us.”
Megan nodded.
“I’m going to check on her, okay?” Megan asked, getting up from the bed. “I’ll be back to tuck you in.”
Julie nodded and turned her attention back to her book.
When Megan entered Molly’s room, she found her little sunshine coloring a picture. She looked a little bit happier than earlier, which Megan was glad about.
“Hey there, my little sunshine. Did you get done writing your Christmas list?”
Molly looked up from her coloring book and nodded.
“I sure did. You can look at it if you want.”
Megan nodded and went over to Molly’s desk. The girls each had one. As she picked up the Christmas list, she skimmed it and giggled. Molly had also put down a few books, but the one thing she had put a star next to was probably the one toy every kid wanted this year. It was a doll called Princess Starlight. The doll wore a sparkly blue and pink dress and she had light brown curly hair and blue eyes. She came with a cat and a few accessories.
“I see you put down Princess Starlight,” Megan said, sitting down on Molly’s bed.
Molly nodded.
“Yup. I know Santa will find her for me. Like you said, Santa can do anything if I believe, right?”
Megan nodded. Little did she know how much she was going to regret those words in the next few minutes.
“All right, my little sunshine, let’s get you ready for bed, okay?”
“Can we have cuddle time?” Molly asked, putting her coloring book away.
Megan nodded.
“We sure can.”
Molly smiled as she went to put her pajamas on and brush her teeth. After she was finished, Megan sat down by the window and held her arms out. Molly crawled into her lap and rested her head against Megan’s shoulder. She loved spending these kinds of moments with her big sister and she loved the safety she felt whenever she was with her.
“I love you, Megan,” Molly said, her eyes starting to close.
“Aw, I love you too, Molly Shaianne Hartson. I love you so much.” Megan held Molly for an hour before tucking her in bed. After Megan had tucked the blanket around Molly, she made sure her night light was on and then she left to tuck Julie in bed. As Megan was about to leave the room, something on Molly’s desk caught her eye. It was a piece of paper folded into two parts. Megan’s curiosity got the better of her and she went to see what it was.
As Megan lifted the piece of paper from the desk, she took it into the living room to read it in private. She never normally looked at her sisters’ notes or diaries, but there was something about the note that was calling her name. A sort of sisterly privelege thing.
Megan took a deep breath as she opened the note and began to read it.
“Dear Santa, hi, it’s me, Molly. Molly Shaianne Hartson in case you’re wondering. I would have written this at the bottom of my list, but I didn’t want you to think I was trying to be greedy, so I decided to write it on another piece of paper. I talked to my older sister, Megan, she’s one of my favoritest people in the whole world. I love her so much. I think of her as my Mom sometimes. I asked her if you were real and she said if I believed then you were. She also said that Christmas is a time for miracles, so I was wondering if it’s not too much trouble if you could make one special miracle come true. I would really like the Princess Starlight doll, but the one thing I want even more than Princess Starlight, is if you could find our Mom. She left us a long time ago and we really miss her. I miss her lots, but I know Megan and Julie miss her too. They don’t talk about her much, but I can tell they miss her, especially on mother’s day and holidays like that. I know you have a lot of kids to make happy on Christmas, but I hope you’ll try and make this one Christmas wish come true. Not just for me, but for my sisters too. Thanks. Sincerely, Molly. P.S Merry Christmas.” Megan put the note down after a few minutes and sat in silence. She could feel tears coming to her green eyes and she didn’t bother to hold them back. Her little sunshine was so sweet and the note she had written to Santa just made her innocence and sense of what was important all the more clearer. Megan knew that Molly wanted Princess Starlight very much, but knowing that Molly truly wanted their mother back above all else made her heart break. She too wanted to see their mother again, but Megan knew that it was next to impposible. They had no idea where she was and after she had abandoned them at that shopping mall, Megan was sure she wouldn’t come back.
“Oh Molly,” Megan said, her voice tearful as she looked down at the note again, “I think you just asked for the one gift Santa can’t bring you.” But as Megan thought about it, she heard her own words to Molly just a few short hours ago, come floating back to her. “Christmas is a special time of year. Even a time for miracles.” And with that thought, Megan knew that even though the chance was very slim, there was still hope to get Molly the one thing she truly wanted. After all, there was always another Rainbow and that was one thing Megan firmly believed with all her heart.

Hi Everyone:

I'm new here, a young new controversial published poet. My book of poetry is Poems From My Bleeding Heart. It's beginning to get great critical review in print. Check out the link:

There once was a man,
who meant the world to me.
The first time I saw him,
was the day he set me free.

He stood for kindness,
and for everything that was right.
The sweet memories of him,
are what I hold so tight.

My love for him,
grew by each coming day.
He was just sixty-six,
when cancer stole him away.

He was the only one I'll ever love,
no one else should bother.
The man was my guardian angel,
he was my beloved father.

Beyond the birches,
on a far-away hill.
A small house sits,
forever still.

Overhead, the birds fly,
voicing their joyous trill.
Beyond the birches,
on a far-away hill.

A serene brook,
with its water exceedingly still.
Beyond the birches,
on a far-away hill.

Someday, I want to live
in the house so still.
Beyond the birches,
on a far-away hill.

i still remember the day,
i listened to the words that u had to say,
while u looked into my eyes and leaned my way

i thought that was gonna be the day,
the day you'd say i love you,
and the day we would lay,

i still remember that night at the bay,
i was so scared, so i decided to pray

i think it might have been in may,
when u broke my heart and i was left astray,

i listened to the words u had to say,
but then u said goodbye and went your own way

Subject: EARN EXTRA CASH EASY!! 6$ INVESTMENT CHANGED MY LIFE!

Author:
No name
[Edit]

Date Posted: 22:32:16 05/20/02 Mon

EXCELLENT CASH INCOME

I started out with $6. Now, I am making thousands.
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little
while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now,
and came across an article similar to this that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00! So I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam", but
like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said
that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and addresses stated in the
article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of
the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups.
(There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after thinking it
over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I
figured: "what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00,
right?" Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!?...
within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I
figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my
first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had
made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over
$10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I
have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in
rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more
than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you how this works and most
importantly, WHY it works... Also, make sure you print a copy of this
article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.
I promise you that if you follow the directions exactly, that you
will start making more money than you thought possible by doing
something so easy!

Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully! (print it out or
download it.) Follow the simple directions and watch the money come
in!

It's easy. It's legal. And your investment is only $6.00 (Plus
postage)

IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off; it is not indecent; it is not
illegal; and it is 99% no risk - it really works!

If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends.

PLEASE NOTE:
Follow these directions EXACTLY, and $50,000.00 or more can be
yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains successful because of
the honesty and integrity of the participants. Please continue its
success by carefully adhering to the instructions.
You will now become part of the Mail Order business. In this business
your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service. You are in
the business of developing Mailing Lists. Many large corporations are
happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the money made
from the mailing lists is secondary to the income which is made from
people like you and me asking to be included in that list.

Here are the 4 easy steps to success:

STEP 1:
Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write down your name and address
followed by the words "PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR MAILING LIST" on each
of them. Now get 6 US $1.00 bills and place ONE inside EACH of the
6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be visible through the envelope
(to prevent thievery). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes
and seal them. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of
paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00
bill. What you are doing is creating a service. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY
LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for
it! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried
about the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S.
Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed
legal. Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:

1) M.A. Freeman
H.C. 69 Box 147
Park Hill Ok, 74451

2) Jay foresman
1925 Elmeda
Muskogee Ok, 74403

3) John Visser
11140 Streets Ridge
RR#2 Oxford, NS Canada, B0M 1P0

4) C. Warren
721 W. 1500 S.
Provo, UT 84601

5) Suzanne Knight
360 Volley Crt
Wall, NJ 07719

6) Rueben Hernandez
709 3rd ave apt B
Bradley Beach, NJ 07720

STEP 2:
Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move
the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc...) and add YOUR
Name as number 6 on the list.

STEP 3:
Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as
close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at
least 200 newsgroups. (I think there are close to 24,000 groups) All
you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you
make! You won't get very much unless you post like crazy.

This is perfectly legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18
Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal lottery laws.
Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and, whenever you need money,
you can use it again, and again.

PLEASE REMEMBER that this program remains successful because of the
honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully
adhering to the directions. Look at it this way. If you are of
integrity, the program will continue and the money that so many
others have received will come your way.

NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you,
either on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send you.
This VERIFIES that you are truly providing a service. (Also, it might
be a good idea to wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk
of mail theft.)

So, as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed,
six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a List
Developer with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list
geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position you will
be receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!! What an opportunity for
only $6.00 ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above) Send
it now, add your own name to the list and you're in business!

---DIRECTIONS ----- FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS------------

Step 1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own
posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and
drag your cursor to the bottom of this document, and select 'copy'
from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the
computer's memory.
Step 2) Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top
of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will
paste a copy of the letter into notepad so that you can add your name
to the list.
Step 3) Save your new notepad file as a .txt file. If
you want to do your postings in different settings, you'll always
have this file to go back to.
Step 4) Use Netscape or Internet explorer and try searching for
various newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites,
discussions.)
Step 5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new
message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste
from the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that
everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a
particular group, click the post message button. You're done with
your first one! Congratulations...THAT'S IT! All you have to do is
jump to different newsgroups and post away, after you get the hang of
it, it will take about 30 seconds for each newsgroup! **REMEMBER, THE
MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE! BUT :
YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving
money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to
rent a P.O.Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If
you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, as long as
the postman will deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE
CORRECT.**

Now,
each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200
postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each
of the original 5, that is another $25.00 for me, now those 25 each
make 200 MINIMUM posts with my name at #4 and only 5 replies each, I
will bring in an additional $125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn
around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5
replies each, I will make an additional $625.00! OK, now here is the
fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with
my name at #2 and they each only receive 5 replies, that just made me
$3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200
newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200
newsgroups react I will receive $15,625,00! With an original
investment of only $6.00! AMAZING! When your name is no longer on the
list, you just take the latest posting in the newsgroups, and send
out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6
again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is: do you
realize that thousands of people all over the world are joining the
internet and reading these articles everyday?, JUST LIKE YOU are
now!! So, can you afford $6.00 and see if it really works?? I think
so... People have said, "what if the plan is played out and no
one sends you the money? So what! What are the chances of that
happening when there are tons of new honest users and new honest
people who are joining the internet and newsgroups everyday and are
willing to give it a try? Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new
users, every day, with thousands of those joining the actual
internet. Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really
work!

Tears surge as my heart pounds..
My hands shake with anticipation..
What do I say? My heart speaks only of you..
As your beauty comes into focus..
My thoughts are yours, forever yours..

As I ponder this heavy heart, I often wonder, quietly, why?
Another day has passed me by; one that found my empty arms..
If wishes could be true, then I’d be with you..
It’s hard being your nobody, trying hard to be your somebody..

If winds could talk, they tell a tale that fills the soul with love and warmth…
And just having known you, my life is for the better…
For no one has made me happier, filling my life as completely…
As you had made me, caressing me with your smile when our eyes meet..

Now, as the sun settles into night, loneliness reigns, Oh the pain…
Yes, it’s hard being your nobody, trying hard to be your somebody…

Ensued by a shadow
that is the past.

A lapse in forever
gone by so fast.

Immortal love coordinates
a moment in the soul.

Revocation of my self control.

Your penetrating eyes
drain my will.

After all this time,
they consume me still.

We couldn't stay together
yet we couldn't stay apart.

Depreciation
for not completing the start.

Anticipating history to reiterate,

As you are recarved
into the mold by
Madam Fate.

Subject: Dark Cherub's Path

Author:
Miotic

I walk the dark cherubs path
In a garden of earthly pleasure
Cries of sinners, silent wrath
To and from heaven without measure

Making my way into flesh
I will seek all it has to declare.
Good and evil, two shall mesh
Exploiting the carnal without care.

I fear no eternal pain,
There is no post mortem punishment.
On my soul there is no stain
Unto life no ghostly soul is rent.

A dark cherubs life I lead,
I walk on this dark path without fear.
Into life, pleasure I read,
For I know the end is always near.

Without the pleasures I seek
Of what use would the world be to me?
Pain and suffering of meek
Would be all this world offers to see.

Better to be the pebble
On rough road to licentious living,
Than boulder on the level,
Without much pleasure for the giving.

This dark cherubs path is grand,
Offering up the most out of life.
For the mundane I will stand,
But adding not to the worldly strife.

Golden rule is all you need.
Unshackle your flesh from moral bind
Take heed from the life I lead,
For you too can unsaddle your mind.

I wrote this poem b/c my two best friends who were like sisters to me broke my heart!

Shattered Dreams
I used to think it would never end!
Just couldn't wait for the next day to roll around....
So I could see.....
Your Faces!
FOREVER
Just like sisters we would be!
I just knew we were true blue.....
We'd make it threw all!!

I was a child
I still am
Children are dreamers so am I!
To think we'd stay the same!!
Why did i fool myself?
I always manage to break my own heart!

No i'm not blaming you...
I'm blaming me!
I'd never blame you! because no matter what you feel....

My friends you'll always be!

Even after we've grown apart and you've finished breaking..
My heart!
I'll never forget what we once had!
I'll only wish it hadn't turned out so bad!

I've given up on holding on
I know it's far to late for that!
I only wish you could see what you've done to me!

My struggles are now over
With crying to sleep
Because of you two!

I know I was only a toy
Just a play thing!
But I still ove you!

And no matter how far you stray
In my rayers you'll always be!
Maybe someday you'll see

How much you mean to me!
And come back
And friends forever we will be!

Or maybe i'm dreaming
Because I am a child
And children are dreamers!

Let me know what you think please!

this is a poem that i wrote that expresses what the world seems to be around me and what i feel.

"Home Sweet Home"

Walking past
Faces blank
Uniform, emotionless
Like robots drained of love
Ignoring her
Standing alone
Yet in the midst of them
Screaming, tearing with claws
At their faces

Begging, crying out
For someone to see her,
To save her
From the desolation and despair
Tht is her life.

Her bloodied face
Her sunken red eyes
Her torn clothes
Torn mind and heart.

Yet walk they must do
Faceless, mindless
They are soldiers on a mission
And still in their midst she stands
Screaming,crying
Spiralling down and out

Away from everyone, everything
To that place only barren souls can go.
Souls without hope or life.
Banished forever
To toil
In the depths of Hell.

For that is the only place left
For the girl in the street
Hell is her only home.

In our warm ocean of bubbles,
We soothe each other's wounds.
Though next-door neighbors
Are shouting in anger,
Your dearest musical vocals
Captivate me into
A rest far from dread.
No enemy on Earth
Is strong enough to disturb
The SWEETEST comfort
Of the sound relaxation
With which you touch me.
With the flame of my passion ablaze,
I am no longer held back
From jumping straight into,
And swimming under our ocean
To feel your eager lips touch mine!

In my time of aspiration,
I am truly provoked!
Your richest magnetic vibrations
Have reached my ears!
Hearing your breath
With the words you are singing
Develops my passion
Toward your highest melody!
The powerful breeze
of your song
Reaches my hand,
and moves through my all!
It comes to chase out
Opposition's discomfort
From all of my being!
It makes me enter a calm sleep.

its dancing to music
and only you hear the sound
it's flying into the clouds
and never coming down

it's speaking a language
that only you understand
it's walking the vast hills
of some forgotten land

it's finding a pearl
in an ocean-sized oyster bed
it's having the best conversation
where nothing is said

it's remembering memories
that have long been lost
it's finding magical written words
that were unknowingly tossed

what is this it
i really don't know
maybe it's some sort of love
that no one's ever shown

maybe it's laughter
that has never been released
maybe it's a cry
that has never fully ceased

whatever it is
maybe i will find it someday
in some unknown place
somewhere far, far away

Subject: i'm a new poster... s'called repercussion

it's that time of night again
when the sun tans beneath my shirt.
so i guess it's time for me to catch up with myself.

maybe i'm a bit anxious,
and my whole "deal" is paranoia,
what's my bag you ask?
well, all you cool cats...
i don't know... 50s slang doesn't understand me.

i keep alive the wholesome goodness tho,
almost like i wear a poodle skirt each night.
i curse at profanity
and cover eyes when the movie starts to sweat.
yet my humanitarian efforts still go unnoticed.
maybe i'll join a barbershop quartet.
that'll show em.

but enough about me...

yesterday i spoke words i thought i forgot,
suppose not tho.
i AM part elephant after all.
but anyway... here's the recap.

no formalities.
just intimate hellos.
never imagined myself in that position.
where the back of my head churned temptation.
but let's not pretend to seem interested.

so here's the weird part:
(because the rest of me is the feminized poster boy of normality)
each breath told a different story,
and all i thought was,
"damn his left tooth is pointy"
i laughed through my teeth too,
which scared us both.
yet he still smelled so damned good.

that was it.
well, that, a few half smiles,
and a careless goodbye...
which i practiced a thousand and three times before.

perhaps it wasn't a momentous succession,
but my blood did flow faster.
it's a wonder i'm still put up with.

i guess it's all about me,
until it's about you...
and then it's still about me.
go figure.

Another unprocessed conversation
lacking all the elements that invited you to me.
I refer to your absence sometimes,
leaving me with a hollow hand
that falls
open shut.

A government monopoly of a talented face,
with instructions to ignore reluctance.
Now it's my turn to dress you up.

I watch you, watch yourself,
walk by.
And I don't think it's confidence that strenghtens your step.

I heard the conversation,
y'know,
the one I wasn't supposed to hear,
and I must say you sound bitter in the morning.
Until you hugged.

They had a whole movement pertaining to this in the 20s.
It's called surreal.
But I'm left only with the real...
yet I'm happy with MY real.

I hate how we never clash.

This is a poem that I entered into a contest. So far I am a semi finalist in this contest. I could win $10,000 (Annual Grand Prize), $1,000 (Grand Prize), I could win a solid silver medal (second place), or a solid bronze medal (third place). I am really hoping to win.
*smiles broadly, thinking about the prizes*
Well, I'll post my poem. How about that?

"The Blue Night"

There was once a blue night,
With the moon shining bright.
The flowers blooming in the meadows,
Their colors, blues, whites, and yellows.
A young doe and her first young grazed,
To my eyes, I was amazed.
A soft breeze caught my blouse,
As I turned toward my house.
As I reached for the copper colored door,
I thought of the things I most adored.
As I woke up to the sun oh bright,
I thought of my dream, "The Blue Night".
