((No school, no school, no school! Yay! Er-hm…sowwy...))

» Optics shutter closed and refuse to open once more, balking pitifully away from their hell. Muscles writhe wildly beneath confines of monotonous pelt. Sightless pace continues, holding no more speed or lag that it had moments earlier. Feathery plume hangs in lifeless tangles about hind limbs, multi-toned threads weaving in spilt milk patterns. Senses still on hold are barely able to guide female about twisted timber curves, so gaze is once more pulled to use. Downcast path of mismatched luminaries burns charred track within earth, unable to notice hesitance of brute before her. Loquacious wench continues repetitive stride, forever a follower left to her own cruel devices. Whisper causes lips to part in slight incantation, though the words were near silence and there was no expectancy for them to reach any other being, as it should be. Shuffling advance repeats itself, feminine beast somewhat expecting the welcome vice of death’s brutally innocent breath. Nearby jay emits cheerful tune, though no attention pays its precious respect, the glimmer dulled and invisible in a cluster of faded stars. «
