.x. Idyllic sunlight filtered through the vegetation, mottling the soft forest floor. Shadows danced coyly with the golden motes, dipping and winding to blend into a strange, but beautiful fusion. It was within these whirling fantasies that a creature stirred. Sincere spheres of hazel flickered with an ethereal light, peered shyly through the dense spring foliage to whatever dared lie ahead. Lobes swiveled atop a crown decorated with rich, silk tassels. They spilled down fine cheeks and concave forehead, fluttering like miniature doves when whispering breezes kissed her pure complexion. Clean, strong limbs moved silently between the flitting vortex of light and dark; the mottled illusions for which she was named following femme’s every stride. Slender, elegant neck curved into a sleek crescent, shimmering tail stringing out high upon quarters in true Arabian fashion. Muscles slipped cunningly under coveted pelt as flints halted all movement. The fine confirmation marked her as a pure-blooded horse, but lent no explanation to the orbs which held captivating galaxies of light. She was young, yes, but totally untainted. With a shy smile, gaze wandered to the menagerie of horses spread out before her. Perhaps her future lay with one of them…? .x.
