. ^ Clouds stained with blood and fire blazed against the inky backdrop, streaming into oblivion on the silent current of the sea winds. As the magnificent sunset put up a last light show for the tired world, it etched a striking figure lost upon the shore. Light depressions followed being up sandy beach, dutifully marking every step taken from no apparent direction. Rays of gold and ruby split about diamond figure, lovingly carved out of living stone. Crystals of sapphire adornment clung to a pelt so blindingly white all colors bowed down upon striking it. Orbs were of hard amber, glittering and newly polished. A new life swirled in their hazy depth, taking everything, leaving nothing. Silky tassled floated behind like clouds of foam flung from the lapping waters themselves. Long, slender neck arched as lovingly chiseled being looked about. Emotions pounded the floodgates deep within ornate vessel. This was her home. She knew every dip and hollow; every inch of this paradise. Now, she sought a family eroded by the passing years. A salty breeze gently kissed her tender muzzle as the shadows stole greedily closer to the figure shining silver as the rising moon. Years had passed. Everything was the same. Everything was different. Airy strides bore being away from the sea and closer to the unfamiliar world of equines. Living state allowed one backwards glance at the waters which pleaded her return, but not a shred of emotion glimmered within the recesses of the vixen; more statue than femme. Her heart was like a rock surrounded by stormy oceans of ancient grief, plundered one too many times... ^ .
