It was not his nature to be gentle.. or comforting. Perhaps this was a case that may have normally called for such behavior, but not here.. not between these two beings..] Of course you could move.. perhaps not comfortably, but that is a usual state for some, and they seem to manage. What is your true reason for being here. I do believe that I am at liberty to inquire.
