Water Hole
Dark oculi look out upon the water hole as the dark beast stood silently, shrouded by the foilage around him. Tender nares dilate as he scents the many herdless mares living there. He observed them for a while before a bugle escaped between ebon lips and galloping away...welcome to the water hole...

In other words...this is where mares without herds may dwell and herds may come to cool off or get a drink from the waters.
