Thanks for the input, Greg. All I meant by that statement is this: they aren't paying us part-timers to go to these things, no incentive, financial or otherwise, to go. We're baiscally just "there". So I'm not going to skip work, where I will get paid, to go to this stuff. Besides, if I didn't work, the boss would probably have to, which wouldn't be in my favor either. It's probably naive, but on one hand, I could always look at it that (even though there's no such thing as seniority in our business...supposedly), I've been around long enough to make a positive impression (or negative, but I think I've made a positive one). Kissing ass won't help. That may not be realistic, though. The higher-ups know me, a few don't even know this guy. I don't know. Im kinda clueless.
