It's official: ABC confirmed that it's canning Bill Mahr & replacing him with Jimmy Kimmel ( Click here for details) As I suspected, this new gig is forcing him to shut down his sucky "Man Show" (YES!! A perfect opportunity for Mark Cronin to try & revive "The X Show" over at Comedy Central!!)

I also suspect that ABC really doesn't have a lot of confidence in Kimmel. Why? They're choosing to debuet his show after the SuperBowl in January 2003, a tactic reserved for the truly desperate. I doubt he'll last 6 months over at ABC. This guy is toast!!
