Julius, I have mirrored your recent PhillyTalk posts on the REDANDNATER board. I invite you to post your comments over there. I also invite you to consider that you've already made your opinion that stations should carry certain major events live. People know what you think and it really does not accomplish anything to keep repeating it.

PS: WCBS was broadcasting a Yankee game when a Staten Island ferry crashed into the dock last year - a major local story affecting hundreds of thousands of commuters and their families. They were not able to report anything about this story until after the ballgame. (CBS radio was taking feeds for the network from channel two - in fact CBS radio gets its coverage of stories from New York of national interest from TV rather than their radio affiliate.)
