Subject: greatest hits?

Hey everyone. Got an e-mail from our old friend Jon, who used to post here but hasn't been around in a while. He saw the band in Modesto and said they sounded great as ever. An interesting tidbit, however, surfaced via the guy who owned the venue. The owner said Mike hung out there the night prior to the show and was talking about the new CD. Mike told the owner it will be a greatest hits disc with five new songs. Now, again, this is THIRD hand info, so it could all just be a big mistake. But if you think about it, when the Knack signed with Rhino back in 1998, they released a hits disc with four new tracks a couple months before "Zoom" just to get people ready. We know the Romantics have a good 17 or 18 songs in the can and that only 12 or so are slated to make the cut for "In the Shadow of Hastings Street." Maybe whomever the Romantics are working with have the same idea? Perhaps Linda can provide some insight on this? Oh, and Jon said they played "Little White Lies" again. Cool.
