The Doors movie was melodramatically great ( a lot better than Forrest Gump) but does anyone know that Leonard Crow Dog and his wife Mary (now Brave Bird) were dancing with Val Kilmer in one scene? They were with the American Indian Movement and Leonard Peltier now is incarcerated because of his involvement as well. I was reading in Mary Brave Bird's second autobiography that Leonard Crow Dog was telling off Oliver Stone at a cast party for his "John Wayne " attitude towards them...
And here I am in the Pacific Northwest participating in a sweat lodge with people who are connected with the Brave Birds, and they told me to say "HI!!!" to Claire, all in good spirit. They also got testy with me over my Siberian calling and it's a good hing I kept my mouth shut about Alti. ;)
