First off.. everyone is predicting that Antonio Davis will join the Orlando Magic, although the truth is, as of now, they can't afford him. There's always the possibility of him signing with a team with a lot of cap room, such as Chicago or Detroit. However, I believe if, like most players his age, he wants to play for a successful team, Toronto is his best option, and I predict he will stay for that reason. I personally suggest, if he doesn't want to move his family to Toronto (a comment which slightly miffed me, although I understand how hard it is to move to another country), to buy a home in Buffalo or a close American city of sorts.

If Davis and at least one of the two Williams' are secure, there's no reason why the Raptors can't repeat what they did last year--possibly more. If Carter and the rest of the team can stay healthy all year, the Raptors' first 50-win season could be a cinch.

If Davis and Charles Oakley aren't back, I think Keon Clark will take over as starting centre, while the power forward could be either Jerome Williams or Mike Bradley. Also, I believe the experiment used in the playoffs, with Carter at small forward, Alvin at shooting guard and Chris Childs at the point, could be used very effectively in the regular season--if Morris Peterson gets some good minutes off the bench.

My prediction for the Raptors record--possibly a little bold--but I think they'll go 52-30.
