I am grateful that I have not lost my home, landlord wants the rest of
Sept.'s rent... the cab owner wants $674 made good on the checks I
gave him... the home phone 'land line' is off for lack of payment... my cell
phone is off since the 11th... my wife's cell phone was cut off on the
25th... 10-20,000 Nat.Businessmans Aircraft Assn. Conv. postponed
from 9/12 until mid Dec.
The Superbowl is still up in the air... it might go to a location other than
N.O. ... I feel like I better get some $ soon or the electricity will go off in
2 wks. With my customers I plea poverty, empty fridge, etc. , tips circa
50-200%. God bless them for their care for me and my family (wife,
kids), that extent of generosity from a stranger, that they will never meet
again is greatly appreciated.
NOW, Down to immediate business at hand...
Stronger cockpit doors? Sounds like cab partitions, easily circumvented.
Air Marshalls? kind of like looking for a cop when there is a knife at your
neck, never near when you want them. Guns in cockpits? YES!!
But better than that... what the F*** has delayed/paralyzed the
DOT/FAA for two weeks?
Even I could figure out by the 15th, that on the 12th of Sept. the following
statement should have been issued... "Commercial flights have resumed
normal schedules... flying is safer now than ever before.. all former and
current municipal, state and federal police officers are entitled to 1/2 price
air-fare IF they carry guns."
Stun guns & mace are a false confidence. ARM our people. Those
HEROS on the PA flight did what had to be done and deserve the
Congressional Medal of Honor for their valor. If one passenger had a gun
that plane may not have crashed.
When did the authorities stop telling rape victims to yield? When will the
authorities stop telling cab drivers that the 'crossed finger' method of
survival was the best couse of action? When will the American public
remember that the Minutemen were a 'key' to our emergence as a nation?
Will we ever actually place the needed 'seed of doubt' in the prospective
'airline/hijacker/assailants' mind? If the fear of suppression does not
motivate hijackers to rethink their course of action (and probably won't
with these suicidal fanatical NUTS) then... as a rabid dog they must be
put down immediately... when the threat arises... if only for our survival.
