Answer is ... you would have been unable to. I never offered an explanation for Wayne shooting the guy in the back, I said he is reported to have said he feared not shooting him could result in losing the gun to him. That was his excuse. I see no excuse to shoot a fleeing assailant. As I have said before, if you are going to taunt a rotweiller ya betta know how long the darn chain attached to his neck is. Are you suggesting that cab drivers should be expected to tolerate all forms of verbal abuse? I have been abused and attacked a few times in my 32 yrs cab driving and I have still never shot anyone. I wasn't suggesting it was prudent of Wayne to do what he did. I do suggest passengers not risk death by folks in Wayne's frame of mind by taunting them.
