>Must admit it has been quite amusing reading all these messages re Cotteridge Park and which bands sucked and which bands did/said what. However, Lloyd, you are right in saying the stupidity and slagging off should end. You said in your post that SEF were kicked off stage early after playing only three songs. I would like to point out though that they did actually have their full half hour slot. How many songs they play within that time constraint is up to them but you need to show a little respect to everyone else because that sort of selfish behaviour results in bands that come later having to cut their sets short and playing even less than the half hour. Although kudos to them for trying to engage the audience and get things moving on a difficult day. However, what irritates me (and yes I know they have apologised for the 'offences') is the fact that when Rezza told them that their time was up, they made a big fuss, (in addition to the original 'offence' that I think has riled people, I clearly heard one of them say that all the other bands suck so to be fair they can't really claim that they have not slagged other bands off as they say somewhere else on this forum). That is not the point though, they may have been 'in a bad mood' when they posted the original message but it is still no reason to treat other people like that. They should have expected a little comeback from those sort of comments. What is needed is for all bands to have at least some respect for everyone else, whether you like their music or not. It is difficult enough to make any progress in Birmingham as a band without having everyone at each other's throats. There is plenty of talent in Brum that is not getting the exposure it needs. So, instead of you all wasting your energies by having bitch fights with each other, however unwarranted any comments are, why don't you all try and do something positive like put Birmingham music scene on the map and show the rest of the country that we all, in fact, rule.

Big thanks to Rezza for putting so much effort into something worthwhile. There are always teething problems with this sort of venture and we just need to make sure the next one runs a bit smoother and iron out the logistical and technical problems. Even Glastonbury Festival started of as a small gig in a muddy field. Give it a chance.
