I had to be carried through school. My 1st block teacher had a fit about me not reciting the pledge to the flag, and she's like-
"My father and brother fought for this country, RESPECT IT!"-
and I said-
"Well my Uncle was DRAFTED to Vietnam and he was trmatized and never been the same and my grandfather's leg was blown of by friendly fire during WWII. Now tell me to recite the pledge."
She didn't say anything. It felt good...
