I am quite mean when I have to be, or when I want to be, though most of the time I watch my kharma. I try to be an upstanding example, but of course this is a matter of personal perspective. What I think is "good" may be reprehensible by another's standards.Whether or not that effects one's kharma is best left for wiser men than myself.
However, in Martial arts they teach that being merciful to an enemy is to be merciless to oneself. When fighting seriously, I am almost merciless. I say almost because though I am quite capable of killing someone, I never have. But I have won fights with as many as eight opponents. I think it's the element of surprise, because I don't look that capable.*chuckle*
