When I write I look at what I am writing and that makes me think more. Some of the endings of phrases come
automatically but for others there seem to be alternatives that 'already exist' (social/cultural input?). In speech, I
notice this phenomenon particularly among the bourgeoisie. I call this type of speech 'scripts'. It's similar to
'received opinion'. It requires no thought. Anyway, my point about writing being dialectical was meant to convey the
idea that there is a struggle going on in real time (as you write / speak / play a saxophone or appoach the next
hurdle) between what you've started out to do, and how you must modify what you're doing to achieve your goal.
Sometimes even the goal changes as you go.

All this is to challenge the idea that there is a block of thinking followed by a block of thoughtless speech or writing
or playing or running. I'm sure that isn't how it works.
