Looks like someone is having trouble psychologically separating the real world and the video game one. Tsk tsk.

Oh, and the "civilized society" you espouse has yet to make an appearance on Earth, even in the United States. It is still a savage, Darwinist world dominated, as it has been from the beginning, by the strong. Any "civilization" you preceive is a thin facade that will crumble when any real pressure is applied to it.

Anyway, Felucca will do just fine because those of us who can handle and even desire danger and realism can take it, and there's more of us out there than you think. I will still fish, mine, adventure, explore, work on skills, run my vendors, bank, do scenarios, do champion spawns, hunt PKers, and yes provide a real threat to seafarers I encounter as my pirate.

The ability to enjoy multiple playstyles across multiple facets keeps UO fresh and interesting for me (and I suspect some of my guildmates although I certainly do not speak for them on these issues). It's a shame that some folks do not embrace these playstyles, but at least OSI supports them across three of the four facets.

So have a good time on your three facets, and the rest of us will have a great time on our four. Sounds like a fair arrangement to ME, oh anonymous one.
