I fall into a deep slumber after a night of hunting without any deaths for a change. As I sleep and dreams of my spells doing the damage they are supposed to I smile, and curl happily into my pillow.
Suddenly I feel a flash of pain shoot through my body. I bolt upright in shock, fear cursing through my veins.
"First your family, and now you!"
I hear the voice but see nothing for it is dark outside and I have no candles lit.
"You have been chosen to take his place, so I shall do unto you as I have already done unto him"
The room fills with evil laughter, menacing sounds echoing off the walls.
I reach over to the candle beside the bed and light it. I am sleeping at Sutra's Lure, with Lady Hawk on her perch above the small table to my left. I hear her screeching at an unseen visitor.
***Bang!!!***
Again I feel a shot of pain being sent through my body, but this time I see what is the cause. I see undead characters, with horrid faces of pure hate looking straight through me. I come to my senses quickly and return some of this pain sent through my body without warning.
They retreat from my bedchamber leaving behind them a dread within my soul, and a remembered sorrow in my heart.
"I must fight, I must gather up the Adventurers and kill this evil. Kill it, before it kills me."
Now unable to sleep, I jump out of the bed, throw on the kilt Hugo has made me, gather up my aids from Braiden and I head to Kit's house, while sending out a note to Lil in the safety of Lady Hawks leather pouch asking for her help.
I open my book to find a rune and jump through the gate, landing at the Sea Ranch, and I run to her, yelling out to her as I go
"KIT, KIT.........."
*Awakes in pain*
