The griffon riders did their work well this night. Not a single message had been intercepted and each rider confirmed delivery of their sealed envelopes into the hands of each of the loyalist leaders and Shantel Moon of Stormhaven.

"My friends,

This night, myself and Angel Tunare of Stormhaven stole into the tower that Bonk mentioned. It was indeed Rune's. Inside we discovered a book containing notes on experimental spells designed by Nas'Rath, one of Rune's followers. The first spell was called "Shatter Faith" and is designed to turn "lightbringers" into mindless slaves. Perhaps this is the cause of the citizen's disposition. Upon closer inspection of the grounds I discovered a secret door hidden behind a painting in the tower. Inside contained many alchemical tools and containers. This is one possible location of Rune's phylactery. Angel is drawn to the plain looking vase outside. It is out in the open, a perfect spot to hide something from people who are actually trying to find a certain item. Yet, a third and horribly obvious place exists in the villa located just beside the tower. I was peeking through the keyhole so I could not see the entire rooms contents. However, in the center of the room lay a stand with a cushioned top. Upon the cushion lay a plain looking dark colored box. The stand itself was centered inside of a pentagram. Tables lined the back wall but I was unable to see what was held on them. Myself and Angel have copies of Nas'Rath's notes with us. More we could not find as I bade us leave before we drew unwanted attention.-HD"
