Subject: Poem of the week

The sky is on fire
with fury.
It is lit with bright
reds and yellows and oranges.
It takes revenge on
the world.
It has been neglected
for all this time.
Now everybody is sorry,
but they don't even know
what to be sorry for.
Nobody knows,
nobody has been listening.
Thundering for all this time,
and still nobody is listening.
Is it that nobody cares?
Or are they afraid,
of what they do not know?
When they start noticing,
they will be filled with regret.
How can people not notice something
so beautiful?
Something so filled with love
and peace?
It is too late for regret now,
the sky is on fire
