She snorts softly, a bit uncertainly, as he tucks the rose behind her ears, shifting her weight uneasily to the other side when he moves back. It's not until he turns and begins to leave that the realization strikes her, that his sight is gone and never shall be again. Her nostrils flare, emotions tripped, though she isn't one to be sentimental. The realization that he was gone for so long, and was about to leave once more, perhaps never to return caused her sense of urgency to heighten. When he is nearly to the exit of the TT, she hesitantly parts her lips, her voice surging into the crisp air, leaving the protected cavern of her chest, exposed and almost fragile.
"Wait!"
After her cry is released, she falls silent, but her muscles tense. What is she to say? Instead, she listens as the remnants of her call echo off the distant mountains, thoughts surging through her mind. How did it happen? Where had he gone? Where was he planning to go now? Why had he left before? Why was he leaving now? Why had so much time slipped without a single hello, or even a single goodbye? Silent, she waits for a sign, any sign, that he'd heard her single cry as the moments, though few, seem to drag endlessly...
