It is only there, away from everyone, that she allows her true emotions to be shown. She collapses to her knees, letting loose shuddering sobs, pain radiating out from her heart. She had been convinced Dusk's care for her was true, but she should have known... She'd been through it all before. There was only one place where she'd found it, constant and true, and she'd managed to shatter that. She could never get that back, not after treating Mercury so. She'd surely lost all the trust Mercury might have had in her, and her only friend in Dusk as well...
"You should know better, Cobweb! It's always the same!" she whispered fiercely to herself, bitter tears streaming down her face, "Nothing could be so perfect as what you've dreamed... Why must you always be tricked like this??" She thrusts her muzzle into the dirt, her thoughts recessing back into her head, and the wracking-sobs overtaking her once more...
Alone, she lied there, silently letting loose all the frustration and grief she felt, for what had recently happened, and of her past.
