Subject: John Sullivan, former instructor/judge...

I don't know how many of you remember John Sullivan but he passed away yesterday at his home. John used to teach the Imperials of Pembroke, then became a percussion judge and if any of you have had the chance to check out John Prochilo's slide show of the 1974 program, the background music is provided by a percussion tape of "Sully" judging us at a show in, I believe, Somerville. He was a big guy with a big heart and I had the pleasure of dealing with him both as a fellow judge and as an instructor. Another member of our generation has passed on and it truly does provide sobering thoughts of how much we need to enjoy life while we can because we never know what tomorrow will bring.
We'll miss you John.
MM
