Thanks for sharing, Karen. I've been so busy wallowing in Buffy (Well, mostly RL, but you know...) that I've just been lurking here occasionally.
My Spuffy-shipping little heart is very happy, this felt like closure. I doubt SMG will be around for Angel S5 enough for them to give it another go.

I agree with everything you said, but I still can't shake the feeling that Joss tried to throw everyone a bone in the finale. The B/A shippers got theirs. The Spuffy shippers (woo!) got theirs. We got a classic Scooby moment. We got sweet Buffy/Giles interaction. Someone important died. And on and on.

Of course, that didn't stop me from sobbing hysterically from the moment they entered the school building until the final "Grr Argh". But I was very aware of it.

Couple other things. When I saw that picture of Angel on the punching bag, I pointed at the TV and shrieked "Look! Somebody sired Beavis!!" (sulks) Well, that's what it looked like to me. I make my own fun. (And brought you you by slightly beyond left field - that would make for a funny, but very short spinoff. They'd wander out into the sunlight in about 30 seconds.)

Faith? "I got mad skillz, yo." Shut up. Who wrote that? Ugh.

And finally, poor, poor Anya. All she wanted out of life was to be happy. (sniff, sob)
