Love this Renee...couldn't we apply the same situation to explain some S2 discrepencies of character? I envision something like this.

(Writer 1 sits down to pen some rough drafts for an episode)

W1: Let's see, this ep I think I'll have Ian confront Sara. He will offer her help while subtly implying that he would die for her. I'll throw in a few soulful, half lidded stares, and heaps of UST. Sara will be stern, yet you can see her warming to him, wanting to reach for him. Yeah! Just like an old X-Files ep. Now, I'll have him reach for her in this scene....oh, man...too many lattes, I have got to pee!

(Writer 1 exits, and Writer 2 happens upon his manuscript)

Writer 2: Oh, I don't THINK SO. Time for a little Action!Ian. First, he's not reaching to touch her, he's reaching around her to pimp slap Jake, who's standing right behind her. He'll do a roundhouse upside his head, then slip into the shadows amidst a flutter of birds. Sara will force the Blade to morph, and chase after him, cuz she is hell bent on whoopin on his Kenny-Wanna-Be Ass. Back at Casa de Irons, Ian will do some serious damage to a coupla pictures and maybe a vase or two....Wait, I gotta go grab the notes I made while watching "Die Hard With A Vengance" last night.

(Writer 2 hurries out of the room. Writer 3 wanders in, reads the script, and reacts)

Writer 3: Aw, NAH dog!!! They ain't punkin my boyeee out like dat! Scrap all dat, yo. Ian's taking his ass straight up to the salon, and getting the hook-up with braids, Snoop-style! Then my boy is All About the b-ball. Some slam dunk shots. No bricks here, baybee. Fo shizza. We'll hook him up with some bling round his neck, a fat godfather ring, and some ice in his ears...yeah! Then his ho Sara will be all up in his stuff. She'll even cheer for him at his games. Some 'draulics in the Jag...sweet. Oh man, my pager's blowing up..better call my old lady.

(Writer 3 speeds off, courier comes in)

Courier: Umm..I'm here to pick up the script drafts for Witchblade...umm..anyone? Oh, this must be it. Straight to the director you go, baby.
