they spit sharp words like knives
bury themselves deep in my skin,
just like a punishment for my sin
i can taste the hate, bleeding from their eyes

purest soul in my dream
dragged out into this battle field
all i can do is watch you being rapped
while trying to heal their blindness
poor angel, dying in sadness

i've seen the smile on your wounded face
you licked the blood i forgot the taste
and kept on fighting
held on to love as your only strenght
grabbed my hand with the will of a lightning

and their words no longer breake me inside
your wings drove us as far as they could
and we could for once forget the fright
sailing with the leaves of faith along the night
as if the dreams we held never broke, and never would
