A complete different situation. Spasski had no demands at all. He had played even standing on his head. The same goes for the organization, they simply wanted Fischer to play, whatever his demands were. Euwe had to deal also with the Sovjets. He could never, even if he wanted, force such a deal on them.

It's not likely they left his telegrams unanswered. but don't ask me any information on that. I don't know and I'm not going to investigate.
