^...as the alpha femme takes down the young deer with such ease. his stomach rumbles and he looks yearningly after her, but thinks better of it and turns about. slinking beneath the protection of a bush, he watches as the larger animals that tower over him graze peacefully. he crawls away, and begins back to the pack territory but stops. his ivory ears perk and his nose quivers. whining, he lowers his small snout to the ground, sniffing whatever scent had just come to him out. tracking a few feet he spots a mouse moving in the tall grass. with a shrill yip he leaps forward, unknowingly giving his prescense away. he growls, his upper lip pulling up, and smacks his feet on the ground several times, trying to pin the rodent to the ground. just about to give up, he finally successfully captures the mouse. smiling with glee he grabs it and shakes it hard, beating it against the ground, killing it. he puffs out his chest and struts back to the territory, tail of the mouse protruding from his mouth.^
