Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] Date Posted: 09:06:12 08/13/01 Mon the 2 year old boys was off and the 21-29 month girls queen was off just a bit, and some of the winners of the other events.... there was tough competition though. there were much stronger contestants. the top ten was completely off the wall. also, could not believe the number of flea market store bought dresses at a National. please post your honest opinion. We will not be doing Sunburst again.

We were told one thing and something totally different won. How can a prelim child in a long dress and short plain jane hair cut win??? Her picture in the program book is not all that either. And adding a overall prince who just happened to be DH is kind of strange too!!!! Theresa has really blown it this time.

THE JUDGES WERE NEVER INTRODUCED THIS WHOLE PAGEANT WAS A JOKE. SOME VERY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN WHO WON OR PLACED IN SEVERAL CATEGORIES DID NOT EVEN PLACE IN TOP 10 OR TOP 5 AND MAJOR PRELIM TYPES WON AND PLACED. We are just a little confused. I doubt that we will be going back to sunburst. They have gone downhill since my older granddaughter competed in Nationals... that used to mean something. You had to be prepared... you had to have the glitzy dresses, hair and make-up... now, just any old plain jane can win just because she acted goofy on stage.

I am sorry but NG definitly deserved his Supreme. That kid has such a great personality and sweet face! DH also was good and deserved his place as Prince.Did ya'll stop and think maybe Prince and Princess tied and the Director didn't want to break it?? I had a boy there and I can say I think that it was pretty fair for the boys! INHO As far as the Girls go I did not see the winners so I have no opinion on that :-)
