I would agree with you both on your respective comments. I beleive PNG has the right to be a independent country. 26 of independence has taught us more bad than good. We now can proclaim ourselves to be genius in the art of corrupting and stealing public money which could have been used to address all developmental issues we are lacking.
There is no honesty in the leaders in the disbursement of funds for development and others purposes. This is an hinderance to development. When that ocurs, rural people start shifting to cities. We cannot adequately manage rising settlement problems, let alone improve lives in settlements and invest in job creating industries to create employment for all who are eligible to work.
Because we believe in building our small empires and stashing money away in private accounts involve ourselves in all illegal activities under the sun hehehehehe.
I'me very negative here but this are facts and this is how good Papua New Guineans (elites and politicians) are. Personal wealth and greed lead to corruption which hinders effective development of urban and rural settings which lead to migration and related social problems. The list is endless. Planti istap but mi stop long hia tasol.
