Nancy.
Sorry it has taken so long. I was just messing around on the computer and found your response to my inquiry about the Osburn who had stowed away on a ship from England. I have no proof that Silas was his son only the oral history that has been past down through the generations. I do know that the story about Silas Eugene Osburn being the founder of Eugene Oregon was false. My mother says that the story about the stoway was true though.
