The following is info regarding my family. but has info about Osburn families. I do know for a fact that Porter co. is close to Lake and Jasper cos. the church in this article is located near the borders of these cos. I have abs. the article since it is copyrighted. Bessie and Mrs. Dan Whicker are my gm and ggm.

The history of the RLPC goes back to the yr 1912. It is located in Eagle Creek Twp. Mrs. Wm Bigger started a Sunday School in her home. The number of children attending increased to 30. The Range line schoolhouse was used for services, then RLP Sunday School (has photo) was built in 1910 for $600. Charter members were; Mrs. Jessie Bigger, Wm Orsburn, Mrs. Etta Orsburn, Mrs. Lizzie Solomon, FB Van Swearingen, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Amey, Mrs. Mary Solomon, Mrs. Nellie Walker, Ora Winkler, Mrs. Luda Winkler, John Bigger, Linda Bigger, Martha Bigger, Mrs. Zetta Cook, Clem & Charlotte Fifield, Mrs May Van Swearingen, Mrs. Mary Garvey, Irene Garvey, Claude Osburn, Mrs Vessie Osburn, Roy Osburn, Mrs. Alice Osburn, Presley Simms, Bessie Whicker, Mrs. Daniel Whicker, Cloyd Walker, Lawrence & Lorena Winkler, Ophelia Winkler, Ruby Herron, Lawrence Herron, Hubert Herron.

Around 1915........Mr. Hill helped organize Range Line......Elders were;Clem H. Fifield, Claude E. Osborn, Ora Winkler, and FG VanSwearingen.. The first wedding in the old Range line Church was Wilford Tuttle to Bessie Whicker Apr 17 1922......Plans were made and a new church was built at SR 2 and Range Line Road. The last wedding in the old church was 11/28/1953 Jame Holding to Barbara Hofferth. On Feb 13 1955 the closing service were held in the building that served as Sunday School 7 Church for more than 40 Yrs. The first wedding in the new bldg was Arthur Close to Dorothy Osburn 7/16/1955....author Dorothy Sorensen.
