Like a phantom the black femme dashes in, strong legs prepelling her across the dry meadow. Her intense green eyes glow like lanterns in the fading sun, her pink tongue is lolling silently.

She hears the howl, and slows to a trot, then a walk.

Ears prick up as Black Lotus raises her shaggy head. She scents the air, nose wavering in the gentle breeze.

She lowers her head for just a moment before throwing it back. She emits a howl, filling the sky with her haunted chorus. She ends abruptly as the last light of the setting sun disapeers beyond the horizon.

She listens for a reply, her head lowered once more.
