*takes him to the heated wash rack and fills a bucket with warm water, sponges him off (making sure to avoid his left flank) with a nearly dry sponge and then brushes almost all of the excess water away* *hooks him on cross ties and stretches his legs and puts hoof oil on his hooves to ensure that they adjust well to living in a new area* *picks off any last speck of dirt ( a sure fire way to ensure he'll roll ) and puts him in his freshly bedded stall that is open to a large pasture* *fills the hay and water up and watches him quietly*
