Subject: *Weak mare limps into the barn*

*One hind leg is covered in fresh blood and has barbed wire still cutting into it whilst a foreleg's knee has been badly cut, looking like the mare had fallen on a road or rough surface. Mane and tail are matted, un-even and terribly looked after. The mare's coat is dull and looks like it is just being stretched over her bones. Her eyes are sad but light up slightly at the site of Micheal and you realise she must know him. Attempts to trot to Micheal but the pain is too much and the mare cringes. Suddenly, you recognise her as Michael's old horse, Double Take, by the exclamation point marking on her nose.*
