Subject: stereo on and working just no sound

I have a 97 civic with after market deck just hooked up old amp and speakers, worked for while, but removed for other reasons and then rehooked up and now stero will play radio/CD no prob just have no sound at all not even static. if anyone can help will be greatly appricated and will repay the favor i do alot of stereo just send a ? if can answer cool....... thanx to anyone to whom can help
