Subject: 92 Honda Accord Automatic Transmission

I have a problem with the subject locking in 2nd gear starts in 2nd with the D4 light on the dash indicator being on. I can put it in any gear reverse, park, neutral, and the D4 indiactor will stay on. It will start when the transmission trys to shift from 3rd to 4th when lugging along. I can manually start it in first and then manually shift to second, but that is as far as it goes. When it got cold it seem to stop doing the hang up? At times we can drive it for a few weeks without any problems? I check both relay and got 22ohms while they where hot All of the connections seem to be made. I replace the selector switch and still had the same problem. When the D4 light is on the safety lock switch is engaged. I also disconnected the selector switch and the D4 light stay on and the saftey lock switch stay engaged. I check the codes on the transmission and got no codes at all.
The first time it happen a mechanic clear the codes on the computer and it work for a few weeks. It work for a second time but now no results. I am lost as what it could be? I feel it must be in the electrial circuit coming from what it can not tell. Help Please MIKE
