Subject: Nissan Altima 2002 winter tires

The Altima 3.5 SE comes with all-season P215/555HR17 tires. With being in a winter climate for part of the year requires the need for winter tires. My question is that 17 inch tires are very expensive. Can I use 16 inch tires for this model if I buy rims? Is there any Altima owners who have had this question asked.
