Subject: Mitsubishi Galant problem

I moved in August 2001, and in February needed regular tuneup on car and went to NY mechanic instead of old one in NJ. Since then, I have had nothing but weird problems to say nothing of expenses. New trans, alternator, now starter - but had none of this before PEP BOYS did $700. tuneup. Main problem now is car starts then doesn't then does then doesn't - everything checks ok - a wait of 15 minutes or jump start gets me going again, sometimes doesn't happen for a day or two then all over again. Now, newest mechanic wants to replace starter. HELP!!!!!
