Subject: Galant 2002 v6 battery problem?

i have a 2000 galant v6 and its having an interesting problem with the battery. in the past 11 months the battery has died twice. i have replaced the battery once already, after the first incident, but have not after the second incident.

is anyone else experiencing this and what could cause this? i thought i try to do some homework before going to the dealer, but that will be my next step.
