Subject: TV installation

I recently purchased a pioneer indash mobile video for my car...since it is just a monitor and nothing else what do i need to get for it to operate....I went to the store where i bought the TV from and they also do installation, and the guy told me i need a 680 dollar pioneer brain or master unit and plus a dvd player or some kind of source, a 1000 dollars added on to my original price...since i thought the guy was pulling my chain and was trying to rip me off. i went out and brought a 250 dollar dvd player with a built in tv turner...i want to know if this is all i need for it to operate correctly.....oh yeah i also have in my car a pioneer cd reciever in which i want to add the TV in with it.....thanks for all you guys help, i really apppciate it
