Subject: turbo 350 question

I just rebuilt my 4x4 turbo 350 transmission. When I took the truck for a test drive the transmission upshifts and downshifts perfectly, when the truck is sitting their running you cannot hear any noises from the transmission. The trans, works like a rebuilt trans should. When I returned home I noticed that the transmission was very hot, too hot for such a short trip of only two blocks. What I did was remove the transmission lines and start the truck up and no fluid was pumped through the lines. I am sure the trans. has adequate fluid in it and everything has been hooked up correctly. When I rebuilt the trans I used new seals, gaskets, bushings, clutches and plates. My question is what could be causing this problem of no fluid being pumped through the transmission lines? Can this be possible when the trans. works perfectly at everything else? Thankyou in advance Nathan
