Subject: 1992 Explorer charging system question

My 1992 Ford Explorer is behaving strangly. The system stops charging about 5 minutes after it has been running. The fuses all seem OK. The alternator was replaced and it behaved the same way so I put the old one back after it was tested on the bench at Pep Boys to be working fine. The battery was also tested to be fine. It seems to be something that dies after it heats up. Perhaps a fuse with a hairline crack that expands when it's heated.

I'm at a lost. Any Ideas??

Thanks,

Tim
