Subject: 95 Altima stalls when accellerated

My 95 Nissan Altima stalls when I accellerate. it also grinds into second gear. I was told that it may be my knock sensor and transmission sensor. Help! Do you have any suggestions? Any information will be appreciated,Thanks.
