Subject: Cruise Control Problems - 96 Altima

When I kick the cruise control off with the brake pedal, sometimes (not always) the cruise control light on the instument panel blinks on and off in a steady fashion when the brake pedal is slightly depressed. Had it checked out by local dealer and a brake switch was replaced to the tune of about $200. Car still has the same problem. The flashing light is mentioned in the manual but the manual says "take it to your dealer." I did and to no avail! Any suggestions as to what it might be would be appreciated.
