Subject: Transmission linkage stuck

I was trying to get might truck unstuck today by shifting from reverse to drive, reverse to drive…. I heard a grinding or clicking noise, and now the transmission is stuck between gears or in park. The shifter linkage won’t move, and when I start the engine I hear the a grinding or clicking noise (like 2 gears trying to mesh but not quiet meshing, and can also feel the clicking vibration in the linkage on the transmission. Have I broken my transmission???? If not, how do I fix?
