JESUS DEFEATED SATAN FOR US

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.


If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:


But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.


If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

SUMMARIES
Though many people do not realize it, they are the target of a sinister plot. this plot is being carried out by Satan
("the Devil"), an angel who rebelled against God and who seeks to pervert and destroy God's good creation. The apsotle Peter warns us. "Be careful! Watch out for attacts from the Devil, your great enemy. he prowls arounds like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour." But Jesus come to defeat Satan and his shemes. because of Jesus' death and ressurrection, Satan's ultimate power over us is broken. We no longer need to sin because Christ give us the power live for him. We may still allow satan to lead us astray from time to time , but ultimately We are not bound to follow him, for Christ is our new Master.
